Alan,
I wanted to take another opportunity to thank you for "going the extra
mile" in the real estate transaction we just completed.
From the first time I met you at Phyllis Poff's office in Auburn, I knew you
were going to be a straight-shooting, honest, ethical salesperson. You
just had a wonderfully relaxed way about you but with a bulldog mentality to
find me something where I could be happy. You read me pretty well and
listened to what I had in mind. You also kept my personal safety in mind.
You do know that the phrase "going the extra mile" is from Roman
times when they occupied the area we call the Middle East. If a Roman
soldier was tired of carrying their shield and weapons, they could command a
local to carry it for him - but only for one mile. By carrying the
equipment that 'extra mile', the slave was honoring the soldier and doing more
than was required of him.
Al, that is exactly the type of service I received from you... far in
addition to just being another 'commission'. I felt that you really wanted
me to find the place God wanted for me. The fact that you expressed your
thoughts honestly was very refreshing - never pushy - but just a caring attitude
that came through.
Believe me, I will tell EVERYONE I know about you!
Sincerely,
Dotty Miller
